Soul Art by Charity

Charity Ramsey Irizarry is a South Florida artist, originally from Bozeman, Montana. She earned her Bachelor's degree from Montana State University in Biomedical Science later relocating to Miami, Florida to earn her Master's degree in Clinical Medical Science. She became a primary care PA, while also pursuing further education in complementary and integrative methods of holistic health. Interestingly, this brings her to her artwork today.

Early in her career, Charity expanded her knowledge of conventional and holistic medicine to help complement her young daughters care who was diagnosed with a rare pediatric cancer; she found deeper understanding in the healing arts that promote balance, calmness, relaxation and wellness through connecting inward.  She began to explore her artistic talent through intuitive painting. She created Soul Art by Charity and started commissioning Soul Portraits in 2008.  Charity uses her artistic gifts to paint unique energy art, expressing what is felt and intuited into tangible and meaningful Soul Art using vibrant acrylic colors, healing stones, beads and crystals that reflect vibrational expression.  Soul Portrait's are uniquely individualized Soul Art that captivates each viewer leading to clarity and insight. Today, she has over 100 commissioned Soul Portraits held in private collections across the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, Europe, Asia and Australia.

In 2016,  Charity was inspired to expand her artistry beyond the canvas embracing new techniques and media. She created Soul Boards; ocean-inspirited and meditative Soul Art displayed on classic Surfboards, transforming them into a unique art story using brightly colored and custom designs. Inspired by her love for the ocean and conservation she transforms reclaimed Florida surfboards into Soul Art canvases. 

As a Certified PA with a background in both clinical and academic medicine, Charity recognizes the value of using art as an Integrative wellness modality and encourages others to seek comfort and healing through expressing their own special creativity through art. She attributes artful creation as a transformative process that helped her heal through advanced breast cancer therapy in 2009 and she is a 13 year Thriver! She currently exhibits in private collections in South Florida and will continue to expand her collection throughout galleries sharing her SOUL ART!
